The Tire Lock/Mat

The Sno Simple Tire Lock/mat functions as a locking mechanism as well a weighted mat to keep your Shield in position during storms or excessive winds. It can be used as an effective locking mechanism by driving on to it so the tire rests on it, or can be placed against the tire if the locking function is not required.

The tire lock is attached to the Sno Simple Shield with a permanent circular ring. When the tire lock is being used, attach the other end of the mat to the Shield using the snap hook provided.  Now the cordura mat is fully attached o the Shield. The snap shook should  be used when the device is to be folded and stored.

Line the mat up against your car tire. Ensure tires are straight. Gently reverse or drive forward on to it. As soon as you feel the first bump, stop the car. The Shield will now be lined up in the correct position to fit over your tire. If you feel the second bump you have gone too far. Its recommended to apply before the snow if possiblke

If you decide not to engage the tire lock, you can simply place it up against the tire behind your Shield cover. If the Tire Lock Mat is placed outside the Shield, you can expect it to be covered with snow which may make removal more time consuming.

Carefully drive off the Locking mat to disengage. Ensure the Shield has been removed FIRST before doing this.

Remove the snap hook from the mat. This will enable the locking mat to fold over easilty for easy storage.

Once the Shield has been folded, wrap the Tire Mat over the folded Shield, Place in the mesh bag which also helps with added drainage and drying if required, and into the larger backpack provided.
